Research project

Engendering African American Critical Thought

This project interrogates the prevailing genealogy of prophetic African American Christian thought and its role in the formation of African American critical thought, locates epistemic and aesthetic assumptions that ground and orient those analyses and engages the religious and social insights of black women that both contradict and revise those analyses in the effort to contribute to ending human oppression.
