Female Activism and Identity in the Lubavitcher Community
This project concerns the simultaneous development of strong ethnic and gender identification in the women's community of one Hasidic sect. Research focuses on Hasidic women's reactions to the American feminist movement and the resultant effects of feminist thought upon Hasidic institutions such as female education and missionary outreach.
