Translating Christ in the Middle Ages: Visionary Translation, Divine Rhetoric, and Verbal Devotion in England, France, and the Low Countries

## Profile

Barbara Zimbalist is an Assistant Professor at University of Texas at El Paso. She is a medievalist specializing in the vernacular religious literatures of England, France, and the Low Countries. As a Fulbright Scholar and Fellow of the Belgian American Educational Foundation, she worked as a Visiting Researcher at the University of Antwerp’s Ruusbroec Institute, and was a Visiting Scholar at the University of Liège. Dr. Zimbalist has published articles and book chapters on Middle English devotional literature, medieval Flemish mysticism, and Anglo-Norman hagiography.
